The Robbers

I was running out of breath and my heart was beating very fast while sweat was all over my body. I couldn't be able to run anymore. "Let them kill me, i don't care." But the thought of dying was scaring for I wanted to live a longer life and enjoy life; dying in my youth was frightening.
I could hear or was it sensing, their footsteps. For a moment my heart stopped and thought I was going to collapse to death. I was standing motionless staring from where the noise came from. Then i heard some whisper while all the more my heart was still in a state of motionless. Then it started beating and that meant I had to do something...
